Arda Algül (born September 13, 1977, İstanbul) started his musical journey playing accordion at the age of six. He joined several bands as a keyboard player in his high school and university years. As a pianist he played for Esin Afşar between the years 1995-2006, who is one of the most important folk singers in Turkey. He played at TV shows and in concerts all around Turkey and also in Germany, Greece and Cyprus.During those years he studied music theory and piano with Asligül Ayas, Timur Selcuk and Ali Perret. In the year 2000, he founded his own music production studio. He also joins the Göksel’s tour band as a keyboard player, who is also one of the most popular Turkish female pop singer, and played in gigs all around Turkey until 2006.
He has composed numerous pieces of music for tv commercials, films, tv series, documentaries, and theatre plays. He set up a company named Mono Müzik Ltd., and labels named Monoplay Records and Mono Jingles. He was a member of The Free Licks, an alternative rock band. They released an EP and a single between the years 2011-2015. In 2015, he released his first solo single, “Telve''. His debut album, “Cues”, was released on March 2000. It is a compilation of his aired instrumental works for TV programs, advertisements, short films and documentaries. The single “Senden Aldık”, on which he collaborated with Turkish cello player Çağ Erçağ , was released in November 2022. His latest work “Prelude in C Minor”, an arrangement of Chopin’s famous piece for string orchestra and piano, will be released on March 2023 in all global music stores.
